In all technicalities I am your Edsa1 baby, I was 1 when the people took the streets and overthrew the despotic Marcos regime. My parents are apolitical, we were never taught the rigors of politics moreso discuss it at home.
But I knew she is no ordinary. I knew Cory through history books and only later when she hogged headlines as the political figure whom everyone calls Tita Cory, the faithful , the icon of democracy, the mother of Kris Aquino and Noynoy.

I cannot speak for the multitude of people whom she helped and inspired but I certainly feel for everybody who apparently lost a mother in Cory. I wasn’t able to squeeze and ram my way to Manila Cathedral. But I join my fellow Filipinos who are forever indebted to Cory.
